Austin’s Not Your Typical City. We’re Not Your Typical Indian Restaurant.
New India Cuisine serves exotic-home made yet-familiar dishes. Our menu is inspired from the cuisine of the Western Coast of India, from Mumbai to Goa. We believe in fresh and heart warming food.

We serve health conscious soul food straight from our home. We never use food colours, MSG, yeast, and all of our meats are consciously sourced.

We also offer standard curries like Tikka Masala, Saag, Vindaloo, Korma but in a rustic style cooking. There are several vegetarian, cream-free, and gluten free options. We are the only place in America to offer Malvani and Tekhale curry. See our menu for our signature dishes from the Vegan Thali Platter to the Lamb Kheema to the Whole Pomfret Fish we are sure you will find something to take your mouth on a vacation.

Annu&Mahesh

The owners of New India,Mahesh and Annu, are originally from Mumbai, ┬ábut they found their home in Austin 10 years ago. Mahesh has been in the restaurant business most of his life from a food cart on the streets of Mumbai to New India, his 14th restaurant. They decided to open New India, because Annu wanted to share healthy family food with her Austin community. Her family is from north Goa and most of the spice blends and recipes are inherited from her mom. New India’s menu has all of your favorites from Tikka Masala to Biryani, but it also contains many regional Konkan dishes that reflect their coastal influences. At New India we pride ourselves on authentic but surprising Indian cuisine. We are not afraid of having fun with our fusion menu items featured during our “Hippie Hour” like mint burgers and tandori pizza. We serve food the represents who we are and what we love.
